To apply for either, you would be required to fill in the application online or offline, meet the strict eligibility criteria for both and even pass a medical check-up.
Naturally, it makes sense to check out the local newspapers for formal notifications from the RBI. Usually, when it comes to selecting applicants for either post, the RBI would issue a formal notification through the various local newspapers. Moreover, a date would be announced for the general exam, which you would be required to attend, to gauge your skills and see if you would be a good “fit”.

Do note that there would be some relaxation as far as the age requirement is concerned, especially if you happen to be an SC/ST candidate. The relaxation would be only for a period of two to three years, not more. Moreover, if you plan to take advantage of this ‘age relaxation, you would be required to produce documentation to back up your claims.
● Educational Qualification:
The candidate is required to be a graduate, in good standing. They would have graduated with any degree and can apply for the post, as long as they meet the required age criteria.
While all candidates are required to have graduated, with good standing from a recognized university, there would be some relaxation for SC/ST candidates. They are required to attain at least 50% marks by the time they graduate. They must also be adept at handling computer peripherals and must be knowledgeable about word processing.
It needs to say that candidates can apply provisionally, while they are in their final semester. They can produce the aggregate marks, of the last semester instead of their official marks when applying for the RBI post.
