Artificial Intelligence Icon

Artificial Intelligence uses computer science to build machines that can think intelligently to conduct tasks with the level of intelligence that humans can exhibit. Artificial intelligence was coined in the year 1955 as a part of a research project carried out at the term coined at a workshop held at Dartmouth College, USA. But, till now, no official icon has been associated with the term Artificial Intelligence. On searching for the official icon of Artificial Intelligence near about 10,000 icons for Artificial Intelligence emerges.

There is no one official Artificial Intelligence icon…why ??? Read this article till the end.

Discussion in the article is based on the author’s research experience in computer science and personal understanding of Artificial Intelligence.

Introduction

Computers can exhibit intelligence more than humans can exhibit in the same cases. Computer programs can solve basic and advanced level reasoning problems. For example, computer programs can be developed to draw inferences from a set of premises.

Humans can interact with computers using connected devices. As a result, programs can be developed to solve formal language problems. Furthermore, the program’s efficiency can be improved by using well-defined heuristics.

In artificial intelligence, the program’s behavior can be improved by providing statements to the program. The statements are built based on the previous working of the program. As a result, the program will work with logical sequences fed to it. Furthermore, the logical sequences fed to the program can depict the common sense that humans can reflect. The developed program is said to have common sense if it can make decisions based on the available premises and previous knowledge gained.

The main objective of Artificial Intelligence is to develop computer programs that can learn from experiences in the same manner as humans can. Moreover, it is possible to develop programs that can use its experiences to change its behavior as per programmer anticipation. Therefore, programs were developed that can remember the states and use these states to take future decisions. This is an abstract principle and is implemented using the technique of Artificial Intelligence.

Abstract program behavior can be implemented using nerve nets, Turing Machines, or Calculator Programs. However, a system capable of displaying human intelligence should be developed using automata or a program developed in a language with a general programming construct. Furthermore, the programming language must reflect the changes in a simple way. Finally, the developed program must be improved as required and decided based on partial success or failure.

To make a program learn, it must be fed with the instructions to be followed. The instructions can be delivered using Imperative sentences and Declarative sentences.

Development of the Program

The expression must be represented in a list sequence to develop a program. In addition, the expressions are represented in declarative sentences and have defined rules to deduce inferences. These rupees use a set of premises to deduce immediate inferences. Premises are used to deduce immediate consequences.

All the expression in the program is not interpreted as declarative sentences, expressions contain entities, and these entities are represented as objects. Each object has associated properties interpreted by the program.

Entities in the program can also be represented as functions and programs.

Artificial Intelligence Icon

Icons are the sign and transfer messages. Icon must represent the internal structure of the stream which it is representing. An icon must possess the following characteristics:

  • Clarity: An icon must communicate its message in a single view. Therefore, the icon’s design must be clear and associated with the context or the represented objects. If the icon’s design is clear, it can be remembered easily.
  • Consistent: The style and the color of the icon must be consistent and must be part of the stream in which it is represented. In addition, the icon must be able to represent previous, present, and future stream interactions. The icon must be consistent throughout the stream.
  • Scalable: The icon must be scalable to remain consistent across the varied screen sizes and convey the intended message.
  • Colour: The color used in the icon must represent the stream. Furthermore, every color in the icon must have a well-defined meaning. If the color choice is correct, it can convey the correct message.

Mapping these icon characteristics to Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is developed to represent human intelligence. The human intelligence can be represented using premises associated with each other.

The icon of Artificial Intelligence must be clear, and its user must understand it in a single view. The icon of artificial intelligence must be such that it must convey the meaning that the domain of artificial intelligence deals with the programming of common sense reasoning that human beings exhibit. The icon must represent the domain of premises, inferences, and deductions.

The icon must specify the interconnection with other structures of computer science and human psychology domains. By the view of the icon, the user must recognize the linking of the artificial intelligence with other domains.

The icon of artificial intelligence must be consistent in style and color. As human intelligence is consistent and remains the same across the geographical landscape, thus the style and color of the icon of artificial intelligence must be consistent across the geographical landscape.

The icon of artificial intelligence must depict the feature that this field is scalable and can be implemented to accomplish small to large scale industries.

The color used in the icon of artificial intelligence must represent the vividness of the field. Therefore, choosing the number of colors and their texture is critical as it will represent artificial intelligence’s vertical and horizontal domain.

The icon must be consistent and resonate with the computer science faculty.

The freeform design must not be used to design the icon of artificial intelligence. The freeform design lacks a professional look.

To design an icon of artificial intelligence, geometric shapes must be used to deliver consistency and can be related to human psychology, and can depict the common sense of human intelligence.

A freeform design is sloppy and cannot depict human mind psychology. Furthermore, it is impossible to depict human psychology with a single geometric shape. To overcome this, a solid shape must be used. Therefore, the icon was designed using a solid geometric shape that is more stable in its look and provides glimpses of intelligence.

If the icon of artificial intelligence is sloppy, then it will not reflect a human being common sense and reduce the confidence of its aspirants. Thus, a simplistic design must be used.

Conclusion

Artificial Intelligence icon must be such that it must reflect the intelligence level of the human being. In addition, the icon must be stable, and it should be consistent and persistent over a long period.

The icon must be understandable in a single glimpse, and it should be clear and invite aspirants of artificial intelligence to explore it and regrow the algorithm.

The icon must be based on solid geometric shapes as geometric shapes can represent human psychology and provide a concrete base to represent human common sense.

The geometric shapes can be aligned with human psychology concepts, procedures, and principles.

The icon must be balanced, and white space must be used to represent that portion of common sense that is never used.
